Jackie Chan’s mark on Hollywood

World famous action star and martial artist, Jackie Chan, has been an inspiration to billions of people around the world.

On Thursday June 6, at 11am, Jackie will leave his hand and foot print at the famous TCL Chinese theater in Hollywood. His mark will be immortalized in the Western world, next to other action stars such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, John Wayne, and one of his early influences, Charlie Chaplin.

Jackie played the biggest role in inspiring me to become a martial artist (and to subsequently move out to LA to pursue a career as an action actor). Check out this scene from one of Jackie’s movies, “Who am I?”. This is one of my favorite fight scenes of all time:

Raised in the Peking Opera School, and having taken over Asia as a martial arts movie star, Jackie broke into the western world with his film Rumble in the Bronx. He continues to inspire a new generation of action artists, performers, and filmmakers. You can see the influences of his particular fighting style, physical comedy, and spacial creativity, in many of today’s films and short films.

And our only hope is that we survive until he’s tossed out of purchasing here (purchase generic levitra) office in November, 2012. 3.

Rock on, Jackie Chan!
