Assassin’s Creed vs Tomb Raider RAP BATTLE

Assassins Creed vs Tomb Raider face off in an epic rap battle?! YES, check it out!

Lara Croft sexy cosplay by Susie Abromeit, in the Assassins Creed vs Tomb Raider RAP BATTLE!

Lara Croft takes on Aguilar, and they face off in a LEGENDS OF GAMING epic rap battle.

Who won? I obviously think that Aguillar kicked Tomb Raider’s butt as Cal Lynch of Assassins Creed.. but I am biased, because that was me 😉 Make sure you go vote by leaving a comment on the video!

Since about this video, I just thought I would add some more details for you. An inside scoop!

Here is a VLOG I made, showing you how we filmed our Assassins Creed vs Tomb Raider rap, which I posted to my youtube channel: ASSASSINS CREED vs TOMB RAIDER (BTS)

We had a lot of fun filming Assassin’s Creed vs Tomb Raider, and I enjoyed filming this Behind the Scenes vlog! On day one, we hiked up into a remote cave to film Lara Croft’s rap, followed by me going to a stunt gym called JAM to train my flips for the next day.

Day 2 was filmed on a rooftop in downtown LA, for the Assassin’s Creed part of the rap. Mary came with me, and we had an awesome day! I got an assassins creed face tattoo put on by the makeup artist Whitney, and after donning my Assassin costume, I was ready to go!

After we filmed the first part of the rapping, I got to show off some of my skills with rooftop flips, parkour, freerunning, and tricking moves! The moves I did were: Backflip, Gainer (kick the moon), Aerial, Roundoff Rlashkick, Wallflip, and the combo was Hook – Tornado – Hook – Aerial Cartwheel.

Thank you so much for watching my newest collaboration! It was a blast bringing the Assassin’s Creed Rap, as the main assassin on this video. One of the first comedy videos I ever made was a parody of Assassin’s Creed called “Assassination for Dummies”, that we made back in scotland.. Here’s an obscure trip down memory lane, if you’re interested: LINK

Thank you all so much for watching our Assassins Creed Rap, and thank you to everyone who has supported me this far! Life is a beautiful thing, and I am so happy that it has come full circle. STUNTMAN Eddie Braun jumps SNAKE RIVER CANYON, Evel Knievel legacy!

Stuntman Eddie Braun jumps Snake River Canyon!

Hollywood stuntman Eddie Braun just jumped over the iconic Snake River Canyon! Evel Knievel attempted this stunt over 40 years ago, but his parachute deployed too early. Today, Eddie completed Evel Knievel’s legacy!

Here is the video:

Eddie Braun invested over 3 years, and around 1.6 million dollars of his own money into researching, building, testing, and accomplishing this iconic daredevil stunt!

The ramp that he launched off of was 10 stories high, he flew 2000 feet in the air, reaching 430mph in just 3.9 seconds! Stunts like these are extremely dangerous, and Eddie prepared for the worst outcomes by paying his bills and making his peace with people in advance.. and knowing all this, it was a very heart-wrenching stunt for me to watch.

I know Eddie through the Hollywood stunt community, and I have watched him post about this attempt on facebook over the last several months. As a stuntman, I found this stunt VERY inspiring. It’s honestly amazing to watch a fellow member of the stunt community achieve his childhood dream, and to see the outpouring of positive energy from the whole stunt community!

Eddie Braun named his rocket “Evel Spirit”, to honor his childhood hero, Evel Knievel.

This stunt comes just a month after another stuntman, Luke Aikins, jumped out of an airplane without a parachute to land safely in a net 36,000 ft below.

I don’t see myself performing any stunts at this level in the future, but it is very inspiring to see my stunt brothers accomplishing these feats of human bravery!

How to Teleport: Action Filmmaking Tutorial

How to Teleport!

Hey guys! Today I’m going to share with you, HOW TO TELEPORT like I did in my last video! First, here are the visual examples in my behind-the-scenes video.. read on for a more detailed explanation of my VFX process!

HOW TO TELEPORT (GTA V BTS)

Now for the TUTORIAL!

To achieve my version of teleportation, I first watched the Film Riot tutorial on how to teleport. During his tutorial, he recommends to buy some vfx and sound fx packs.. but I like to free stuff, so I just searched and downloaded similar ones from youtube. Here is the shockwave video I ended up using.

HOW TO TELEPORT: FILMING PROCESS
I filmed everything on a tripod, to make it easier on myself to stitch the shots together in post..

First, I got a CLEAN PLATE. This is an empty shot with nothing frame except for the background. You ALWAYS want to have one of these, just in case you have to paint a part of the frame out. You lay this footage as a base layer under your footage in the timeline.

Next, I got the ACTING beats. This is where I reacted to the cars teleporting in, as well as when I teleported out of the video at the end. I tried several different options, and planned my edit in advance so I could cut in between this locked off “master” shot, and some handheld mid/close-ups to give it a more organic feel. In the future, I think I will add some small wobble to the frame, after compositing everything together.

Lastly, the CARS; I drove each car into the frame, hid behind it (or in the bed of the truck) and SHOOK the cars to make them look like they actually dropped out of the sky! I feel like this adds a lot to the final product, and I love mixing “practical effects” (stuff you can do on the day, with camera) with visual effects, to make a more believable effect.

HOW TO TELEPORT: EDITING PROCESS
I usually use After Effects for my videos, but this time I didn’t have to. I did most of the compositing right in Premiere Pro! (The only shot I had to use after effects for, was to make a more precise layer mask for when I teleport out of the video at the end.) Here’s a quick breakdown of what I did..
1 – The CLEAN PLATE goes on bottom video layer (track 1).
2 – The ACTING shot goes on top of the clean plate.
3 – Whichever car appears goes on top. I lowered the opacity of the car footage and lined it up to get the correct timing of the shake. Then I trimmed the car clip to start at the “teleport in” point, and I applied a “crop” effect to the footage. (You can find all these simple effects just by typing them into the “effects” window) I slid the left side of the crop until my character was visible, then I turned up the “feather” of crop edge to blend it in.
And importantly, you do not need to see the parts really well, but for those that you are required to lead a healthy and effective treatment order cialis online frankkrauseautomotive.com of men’s erectile dysfunction.

BOOM! That is how to teleport cars. Here is the final result!

CHEAT CODE: Episode 1 – GTA V

HOW TO TELEPORT: EXTRA TIPS
The only thing I did differently when teleporting myself out of the video at the end, was I overlayed a video clip of the above “shockwave” footage over myself as I teleported out. I didn’t use the shockwave for the cars appearing, because you don’t see that in GTA V. The shockwave clip I used has on a black background, so I added a “Luma Key” effect to the shockwave footage.

For the SOUND effects, I used a mixture of 2 sounds. A bullet flying by and a low explosion in the distance, to simulate the teleport sound effect. I layered these a little, and wham! Teleport sound effect. I get all of my sound effects from FREESOUND.org

And that was it! That is how to teleport, according to my own “gorilla” method!

HOW TO GET HIT BY A CAR

Today I’m teaching you how to get hit by a car!

I explain my favorite filmmaking method of doing a “car hit” stunt for my videos, using After Effects combined with a simple fall!

FULL VIDEO COMING TOMORROW!

DOUCHEBAG PARKING – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-bvSuJcNmw

I’ve used this method of getting hit by a car on multiple projects I’ve coordinated, and it remains my favorite. It doesn’t put the performer in direct line of a car, and is simple to accomplish. If you cut to the actor doing a roll on the ground, you can stitch the shots together pretty well.

I did a really rough job of compositing the footage in after effects, but it is a very simple process of masking out the wire, as well as timing and “masking in” the car.

Working as an Extra

Working as an extra on TV shows and Movies is how I fill my time between stunts and filmmaking. In this video, I was sent to the LA Convention Center!

My day was filled (as it usually is) with a lot of waiting around, and drinking coffee! 🙂

I’ve been in LA for 5 years, and I still fill my free time working as an extra. This is a highly flexible job, that is a prime choice for actors, stunt people, and filmmakers.

Check out my CREATIVE PLAYLIST

A “cattle call” is a nickname given when a TV show or Movie has a particularly large call for extras. It’s when you feel like you’re just being a bunch of cattle, being herded. But this was a particularly pleasant day, and everyone was nice. (Sometimes you run into ADs that treat you like subhuman)

This was also the first time I decided to bring a camera onto a set while doing extra work (aka, background work).

LUKE AIKINS jumps 25000 ft without a parachute!!

Stuntman Luke Aikins just made History by jumping 25,000 feet without a parachute! He landed in a specially designed and tested net, which was held up by four cranes. Luke Aikins is a world class stuntman, who has worked as a skydiver in the iconic Ironman 3 sequences.

Skydiving is already intense, but he did this jump without a parachute, without a wingsuit, and without any sort of protection except for the clothes on his back!

Luke Aikins is 42 years old, with over 18,000 jumps under his belt. He has been jumping for a LONG time, and had a very capable team surrounding him during the attempt.

I have heard about this stunt being set up, for almost a year now, rumours about it permeated the stunt community. Everyone was anxious to see what would happen, some were scared. BUT WE ARE ALL SO HAPPY HE DID IT!!

In the modern days of visual effects getting better and better, these sorts of stunts are needed less and less for movies.. but it is extremely fascinating watching someone like Luke Aikins do his thing! He is like a modern Evel Knievel, reminds me of Felix Baumgartner.

Pokemon Go: WORLD DOMINATION

An epic story of what Pokemon Go has done to our world. This mobile game will not stop until it reaches world domination!

We made a new video! Check it out; 😉

Newbie Pokemon Go trainer embarks on an epic journey to catch them all! He makes friends, escapes a brush with death by Grandma, and meets his greatest foe..who is set on World Domination!

We had SO MUCH fun with our Pokemon Go video! I know, it seems like I say that for every video.. but this one in particular, was one of epic proportions.

Shay Gibson wrote the first draft, which I then tweaked to fit into my style of comedy filmmaking. Then we had a couple of days to prepare, during which I got the Ash Ketchum costume together. We filmed the whole video in one day, and then the race against the clock started to upload it while the Pokemon Go wave is still happening! 2 days of editing later, and here we are.

I’m really enjoying doing these comedy videos, and I want to make more. But don’t worry, I’m not forgetting about the action! More fight scenes to come!

Also, I just wanted to let you guys know that I might soon be starting a 30 day vlog challenge for myself, which means I’ll be posting a new video every day for 30 days.. right now I’m looking for the most exciting time to start.. but it might be soon!

Thank you so much for watching and please subscribe if you want to see more video! If you leave us a like or comment with what you thought about this one, everything helps to feed the self-esteem machine and helps us keep making videos.. 😉

Street Fighter stop motion Fight

Street Fighter V just came out, so my friends and I thought we would make a stop motion fight video tribute to celebrate! CHARLIE NASH challenges RYU (Rustic) to a Stop Motion Street Fighter battle!!

Rustic B as Ryu vs Tim Neff as Charlie Nash, in Street Fighter V in Real Life, stop motion video!

We can’t wait for Street Fighter V to come out! Tim and I grew up playing a bunch of fighting games, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Super Smash Bros..and when I hit him up to play Charlie Nash from Street Fighter, he jumped on the opportunity! Check out the video below, and leave us a comment on the page! Keep reading for more behind the scenes details 😉

Our premise was simple.. Charlie Nash of Street Fighter jumps out of nowhere, anime style, and challenges me to a Tekken style fight match! I had no choice, but to don Ryu’s uniform and have a go at him! We made our own versions of the HADOKEN (Hadouken), Sonic Boom, Tragedy Assault, Tatsumaki, Shoryuken, and even a KAMEHAMEHA from Dragon Ball Z, to end it all! All VFX done with After Effects 🙂

Stop Motion Mortal Kombat – Fight Scene

Stop Motion Mortal Kombat

Check out our first stop motion Fight Scene!

My stunt friends and I love to make stop motion videos with stunts in them, often about gaming.. We give you.. Stop Motion Mortal Kombat!

Below is a quick rundown of the shoot, but watch out for the actual Behind the Scenes video of our stop motion fight scene in the next couple of days! It will be on the youtube channel!

OK, let’s get to it! This stop motion fight scene was VERY fun to make! We filmed it in Santa Clarita, and the whole shoot took us about 4-5 hours. Kyle Chebbi (Stop Motion camera and co-director) and I had been planning this shoot for a couple of weeks, and as soon as our schedules lined up, we decided to go for it! I posted a note on my facebook wall the day before, asking if someone wanted to be a part of a stop motion video.. and my stunt friend Joe Sobalo replied!

Joe Sobalo is spinning Rustic Bodomov (Rustic B) around by the leg, in their Stop motion Mortal Kombat fight scene.

We set the stop motion fight up for the next morning, Joe and Kyle got to my house around 9am, and we drove out to the location in Santa Clarita. We stopped to get some waters (very important when you’re filming on any location!), and hiked 10 minutes off the main road, out to our cool location. It was at this point that Kyle and I realized we had filmed an instagram “tester” fight video there exactly a year before!

THE SHOOT

About half of our filming time went towards coming up with the “live action” parts of our video, while the other half went towards filming the Stop Motion Mortal Kombat fight scene. Kyle and Joe were really fun to work with, and we came up with the comedic beats on the spot! I love it when like-minded, positive people come together on a set! It makes for such a rewarding experience.

In the United States or in the United Kingdom, the cases of these injuries are reported from young male personalities and the results come in form of erectile dysfunction or impotency. generic cialis online buying this
The stop motion fight part was a bit tricky, trickier than I anticipated. The parts that we had to pay close attention to on this one were; the fact that there were now two people to keep track of during the picture taking, and the fact that it was my friend’s first stop motion shoot (Joe did an AMAZING job, btw! picked it up quick)

POST PRODUCTION

When I got into the edit, I realized that because we filmed under some high powered electrical lines, we had some strong interference noise on the video. After trying several times to remove the noise in Premiere Pro CC, (watching tutorials, etc), Kyle and I decided to just do some “ADR”! ADR stands for Automatic Dialogue Replacement. This meant we had to re-record some of the lines onto our camera, then lay it over the original audio track (deleting the original). This made for an interesting looking clip of me slapping myself uncontrollably as Kyle walks by! You can see that clip on my instagram, or when we post the Stop Motion behind-the-scenes video in the next couple of days 😉

Rustic B being kicked backwards by Joe Sobalo Jr, in their stop motion fight scene. Mortal Kombat style!

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this video! We’ve been getting very good responses from people so far, and think that we will make more stop motion fight videos soon! If you feel like it, please share Stop Motion Mortal Kombat with your friends! And leave us a comment on the video with any ideas, suggestions, or feedback!

STAY AWESOME!

Santa Clarita Stuntman turned Youtube Creator

Rustic B talks YouTube

Youtube has exploded in the last few years. Top “youtubers” (people who make youtube videos) are now appearing on the Forbes earning lists, so we decided to ask a friend of ours who is based in the area, some questions about his filmmaking and stunt projects!

Rustic Bodomov, stuntman, doing a handstand on his youtube channel.

The Interview

SCN: Thanks for talking with us, Rustic.

Rustic: Thank you for having me!

SCN: So, what is your background? What got you into filmmaking, and how did you start on YouTube?

Rustic: Straight away with the tough questions, eh? (laughs) I got into youtube when I was 14 years old. I stumbled on the video site while browsing myspace, when someone shared a Parkour Video. After browsing feverishly that evening, I decided to make my first video! I didn’t have a video camera yet, so I decided to make a “stop motion animation” video with a picture camera I had!

SCN: How did you get into stunts?

Rustic: I was studying Architecture in Scotland, and spending way too much time training parkour and making youtube videos with friends. One day an important question came up for me, and that was “if you had all of the money in the world, what would you see yourself doing?”. I had to think about that question for a while, and was fortunate to realize early on that I wasn’t doing exactly what I wanted to be doing at that moment. Once I had that realization and started looking for other options, I realized I would be making videos with friends. This led me to the realization that I want to move to LA and be in the film industry. So that is what I did!

SCN: Wow, that’s quite a change.. how has it been for you?

Rustic: The experience has been wonderful so far! I have been in LA for almost 5 years, (Santa Clarita for 4 years), I have found the love of my life, and I spend the days doing what I enjoy! My job is literally to train stunts (parkour, martial arts, fitness, climbing, swimming, etc), make youtube videos, and work towards a career as a film producer.

SCN: That is awesome! Is there anything you would like to tell our readers before you go?

Rustic: I would love to just say.. follow your internal compass. The one under the worries, fears, doubts..those are all useless! Focus on doing what you truly want (with brutal honesty and optimism), strive to always be mindful, and just remember to breathe! Life is simple, enjoy the good vibes 😀

SCN: Wonderful..thank you very much for your time!

Rustic: Thank you!

Making youtube videos has been my passion for 9 years now, and has kept me motivated to learn new things. Through youtube, I learned how to do parkour, and made life long friends. With the help of youtube, I learned about Scotland, and how it was possible to travel there. And through youtube, I made friends in LA before I moved here. I am so excited to continue to grow with all of you, and I hope you have a wonderful and prosperous 2016!
